Song of Solomon 2:5

'Strengthen me with raisins,
and refresh me with apples,
because I am weak with love'

Yesterday I picked the raspberries from the garden, we had several, and there're several still to ripen.

The ones which didn't look so good got made into a peach and raspberry smoothie, there weren't many of those though.

This morning I checked the tub in the fridge and found a little tiny caterpillar, a bit of an oops moment, I do try to get the wildlife off if I can.

Hope you're enjoying your weekends.

  1. Glad you found the little fella before he ended up in a smoothie! Our blackberries are ripening now - I don't like them because of the seeds - but hubby loves them, so I am saving them for him! Maybe I will make him a cobbler...if we ever get enough!

    1. I love raspberries they're my favourites, but i have to say that a blackberry and apple crumble was something my Nan used to do 3 or 4 of every year. You don't need quite so many if you do it that way, and I suppose you could always go and look for the wild ones.

  2. Always pleasurable to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The smoothie looks delish.

Thank you for sharing at YSB this week.

    1. Fruits do always taste their best straight off the plant don't they. The smoothie was delish, I'm having them for breakfast at the moment in an attempt to eat more healthily and lose some weight :)

    1. It was a little amusing, I'd imagine less so for the caterpillar though :)
