This beginning seems a little bit startling to me. It doesn't look like the protagonist is going to get out to a good start.
I have to say I wonder why they want to kill a six year old.

Wow, that first line certainly made me sit up and pay attention...and check it out more online. Looks like an intruiging read, so now it's on my wish list.

After reading the first chapter turns out she's not a psychopath but the kid had been killed 30 years before and was inhabited with an evil spirit. I guess that makes the whole thing make that much more sense!
DeleteYeah, that's pretty scary. Though A Graveyard Book opens up with a man trying to kill an infant child.

Having just checked that out I can now say it sounds cool :) This book seems to be running on a different concept, although more used, in that the child is some kind of evil undead. I'll Check out your post :)
